During our Hour of Devastation Game Day, you’ll be paired up against a different player. Each round, you’ll play a best-of-three match and report the winner. We will either play 3 rounds or 4 rounds. (Depending on how many players sign up).
Game Day events are designed for all levels of Magic experience - from the beginner to the advanced player.
You’ll need:
- Your own Standard deck, which is a minimum of 60 cards and has a sideboard of up to 15 cards. (A standard deck is made up of the most recent 3 or 4 block releases. Currently, you can have cards from the following sets: Battle for Zendikar, Oath of the Gatewatch, Shadows over Innistrad, Eldritch Moon. Kaladesh. Aether Revolt, Amonkhet, and Hours of Devastation. http://magic.wizards.com/en/content/standard-formats-magic-gathering
- A method for tracking life totals, as well as tokens, counters, and card sleeves.
Each participant in the Game Day tournament receives a full-art promo card (Abrade), and each player in the Top 8 receives a premium foil full-art promo card (Adorned Pouncer), while supplies last.
The winner of the Game Day tournament receives a special Champion playmat to commemorate their victory.
Entry fee is $5. Each player will also receive a booster pack of Magic cards as prize support. Top finishers may receive more. (Depending on how many people play in the tournament).
